Sentury Reagents was founded in 1974 by Jon C. Ellis, Sr. Mr. Ellis built the company to be the world's largest producer of high purity chrome salts.

The company is now owned and operated by his sons, Jon Ellis, Jr and Rob Ellis.

Their goal has been to diversify the business while still growing in the area of high purity chrome salts.

Sentury Reagents' current production facility in Rock Hill, South Carolina was completed in 1989 and has a wide range of production capabilities.
